The Official Quoits of the United States Quoiting Association are now available for purchase by the general public.   Buy them here on usqa.org - not available anywhere else!  This regulation set of 4 steel quoits, each weighing 4 pounds,  are hand-crafted in "Pennsylvania Dutch Country,"  the scenic Amish farmlands of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.  These quoits are made exclusively for the USQA using foundry casting molds custom-designed by the USQA .  This is the same quoit used at all of the USQA-sanctioned quoit tournaments held in Eastern Pennsylvania.  A limited supply of these quoits have been previously sold at past USQA quoiting events, but only now have they become available in quantity,  right from this website,  for ALL quoiting enthusiasts across America! 

While you are ordering USQA Quoit sets for your own pits, you may want to think about picking up a few extra sets for your friends - a very thoughtful gift which hopefully will get them started in a unique and challenging sport as well.  Remember, you'll need a partner and some opponents to pitch against to make Quoits fun and exciting, so it's definitely to your advantage to get all  your friends involved, too!

A lot of time and research went into the design of these quoits before the actual molds were created, which we feel has resulted in the creation of the best pitching quoits you can buy.   You'll definitely appreciate the thick, chunky feel these quoits have when hefted in your hand.  They have been specifically designed for ease of pitching by incorporating well-rounded edges throughout the overall design - on both the outside and inside edges,  the large gently-curved finger groove,  as well as the major top and bottom surfaces.  Many cheaper quality quoits are cast in a flatter and wider shape that doesn't fit the hand as well, and many have thinner, sharper, or more prominent outer edges that tend to chip off more readily with use.  All this leads to a less comfortable feel and making them more difficult to pitch accurately. Our design eliminates these sharp edges, which helps minimize chipping and wear and results in a more desirable quoiting experience.

If your future plans are to compete in a USQA-sanctioned Quoit tournament, practicing with our regulation USQA quoits will best prepare you for the toughest of competitions. You will feel right at home at all the tournaments when pitching with quoits identical to the ones you practice with at home.   You won't have to worry about wasting pitches "getting used to" a strange set of quoits you've never pitched before, so you can better concentrate on winning the game instead, right from the get-go.

Each regulation set of USQA Quoits includes 4 foundry-cast steel quoits in perfect proportion to the historical Traditional American Quoit.  Each quoit weighs 4 pounds and is approximately 6 1/2 inches in diameter, has a 3-inch diameter hole, and stands 1 inch high.  The quoits feature a large, concave finger groove along their outer edge to assist in pitching accuracy.  The high, rounded top surface of each quoit features a large raised-letter "A" or "B" and smaller raised lettering "USQA" directly opposite the central hole.  The two "A" quoits are painted glossy Yellow, and the two "B" Quoits are glossy Black.

The bottom surface is not flat like some styles of quoits, but are concave and smoothly curved such that they slide off your fingers uniformly every time they are pitched.   The underside does NOT have the severely scooped out "Half-round rain gutter" groove that is common in the design of many inferior quoits, such as the underside of the one shown at right.  This well-worn quoit illustrates both the rain-gutter design of the underside surface and the large chips along the outer edges.  Does this look like a pleasurable object to pitch with all day at a large cash payout Quoit tournament?

As seen above,  in order to validate the authenticity of each USQA quoits, small recessed lettering has been added to the bottom of the quoit which reads: 

"OFFICIAL 4 LB. QUOIT    UNITED STATES QUOITING ASSOCIATION    WWW.USQA.ORG" 

Each set of Regulation USQA Quoits includes four 4-pound USQA steel quoits painted yellow and black, shipped in a small, snug-fitting cardboard box. Total package weight is 16 pounds. 

NOTE: HOBS ARE NOT INCLUDED.  You can obtain steel rod material to make your own hobs by purchasing 3/4" round stock, preferably Stainless, at any local metal fabrication or machine shop.

Print out the form and complete all the information, including your mailing address.  Please remember to indicate the number of quoit sets you are ordering and the total payment amount included.

If you do not have the capability to open and print the Official Order Form,  just print your Name, Complete Mailing Address, the Number of Quoit Sets you desire, and the Amount of Payment Included, onto a blank sheet of paper, and place it in the envelope along with your payment.  This will work just as well - provided we can read  your handwriting!  Address the envelope to:
