The Game of Quoits was once a widespread and very popular American pastime, until the game of Horseshoe pitching surpassed it in popularity in the 1920's. Today, most Americans are familiar with Horseshoe pitching, but very few people are aware that the Game of Quoits even exists or that it is THE original pitching sport Horseshoes developed from. The USQA is attempting to bring Quoits back to the forefront of American pitching games and finally give the game of Horseshoes some good friendly competition!

Registering with the USQA is very important for the re-growth and advancement of our "forgotten" sport. The USQA needs your help to establish our North American presence and to grow and popularize this great game. We ask that you please participate in our continually expanding USQA North American Quoiting Database by completing the Online Registration Form below. With this database we can determine how widespread the quoit-playing ranks in America really are. The information you give in the registration form is completely private and is only for use internally by the USQA. We will not give out your information to any third parties.

OPTIONAL: The Online Registration Form includes an optional section for you to fill out if you wish to place minimal contact information on our publicly posted Quoit Pitcher's Online Contact List. This list consists of only your name, city, state, and email address, posted in a manner that is not readily recognizable by any email-harvesting programs. By including yourself on this list, you and other Quoit pitchers who view the list can easily find, contact, and make arrangements to pitch with local players you would otherwise not know existed. You may opt-out of the public list if so desired, but please be sure to complete the rest of the form.

Most importantly, we need your help in making sure all your quoit pitching associates are told to register here as well . This is a totally free, online procedure that only takes a few minutes. Remember - this is NOT a membership request - there are NO membership dues or costs to you at all. Again, all information on the form is kept private and is for the internal use of the USQA only.
